Join us in congratulating Katie Klinker, Regional Digital Ag Specialist, on her Quarter 3 2023 Silver Circle Award for Customer Service. Our communications team asked Katie a few questions about her exceptional approach to customer service; see her answers below.
How do you maintain your high level of customer during the tough times in Digital Ag?
I try to remember that tough times aren’t forever. We are always on the path forward, even when there are setbacks along the way. I put myself in the other person’s shoes and try to think, okay, how would I want someone to handle these concerns if our roles were reversed? It might be cliché, but honestly a positive mindset can make a world of difference.
What do you enjoy the most about your role?
The people I work with, both internally and agents. I have been able to meet so many amazing people over the past three and a half years and I have the privilege of being on an absolutely fantastic team. It makes a big difference to know there are people who support you and your role.
How would you define great customer service?
A passion for doing the right thing. Having empathy for what someone is going through and being able to look at the bigger picture for both the customer and the company. I think being able to understand someone’s frustrations and being able to express that understanding goes a long way.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in their career?
Appreciate the wins, big and small. Cultivate relationships. Step out of your comfort zone.
