Underwriter

Provide responsive, professional customer service to agent partners. 

Answer calls and emails from agents and respond to questions in a timely manner. 

Research and resolve agent questions by reviewing policy guidelines and documentation. 

Review and evaluate insurance documents, including applications, acreage reports and production reports. 

Ensure all work meets deadlines set by the Risk Management Agency’s policies and procedures. 

Verify the accuracy of information provided by agents and enter data into company systems. 

Conduct quality reviews of policy documentation to support accurate underwriting decisions. 

Basic keyboarding and computer skills. 

The ability to learn and understand crop insurance policies and program requirements. 

Strong listening skills and the ability to provide clear, courteous and accurate responses. 

The ability to learn and apply company terminology, processes and systems. 

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
