We are pleased to announce that Jonathan Akridge has been appointed the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of AgriSompo, effective today, September 25. Drawing on his extensive experience and commitment to financial responsibility, Mr. Akridge will lead all accounting and financial functions for AgriSompo North America and AgriSompo International.

Mike Jones, our previous CFO, will continue to serve AgriSompo as Executive Financial Advisor, Assistant Secretary, and Treasurer until his retirement in the spring of 2024.
Jonathan Akridge spent the last 20 years of his career at Swiss Re; most recently he served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Swiss Re’s flagship US Life & Health reinsurance company. His responsibilities also extended to the company’s Brazil reinsurance carrier.
Prior to this, he held multiple other roles at Swiss Re, including Head of Accounting and Reporting for the US P&C companies. Mr. Akridge also worked in FP&A, where he was the Finance Manager for the US Broker operation, and in Internal Audit.
Before his career at Swiss Re, he worked in the commodity industry with Koch Industries and Aquila Energy, evaluating acquisition and capital investment opportunities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Washburn University and a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Mr. Akridge will be based out of AgriSompo’s Lenexa, Kansas office. He will report to Nicolas Burnet, the CFO of Sompo International, but will work very closely with the AgriSompo Executive Group.
