As our valued agent partners, delivering crop insurance solutions to your customers in a challenging agriculture economy, we know the daily work you do can carry real emotional weight. Supporting farmers and ranchers through loss, uncertainty, financial pressures and unexpected challenges often means stepping into difficult moments. That responsibility matters, but it can also be heavy when carried alongside the demands of managing your business, family and everyday life.
As part of our focus on Mental Health Month, AgriSompo is hosting two live training opportunities for agents, presented by AgriSafe. These one-hour sessions focus on communication and relationships, using a farm-family lens to address common stressors and provide practical strategies for clearer, more productive conversations.
Agent training sessions:
- May 21, 2026 | 10 a.m. CST
- May 28, 2026 | 1 p.m. CST

Throughout this Mental Health month, each week will introduce a different set of mental health toolkit resources. These weekly toolkits are designed to offer a variety of tools and learning opportunities, encouraging ongoing engagement.
This week’s mental health toolkit is designed to make additional support more accessible. It includes fact sheets from Rural Minds on topics that affect individuals and families in different ways, along with a webinar focused on the power of sharing lived experience and confronting mental health challenges in rural communities.
Mental well-being plays an important role in how we all show up for farmers, ranchers and the rural communities where we live and work. When stress builds over time, it can affect focus, resilience and the ability to remain steady through challenging situations. Supporting mental health is not separate from the work of serving America’s farmers. It is part of what makes strong relationships, sound decisions and healthy communities possible.
These resources also reflect a broader connection to mental wellness in rural America through the Sompo Foundation. Both Rural Minds and AgriSafe are grantees of the Sompo Foundation, which partners with organizations aligned to our mission and values to positively impact communities where we live and work. Rural Minds works nationally to advance mental health awareness and access in rural areas while AgriSafe focuses on protecting the health and safety of agricultural workers by equipping rural medical professionals with practical tools and training.
Mental Health Month offers a moment to bring attention to this issue, but the importance of well-being extends far beyond a single month. Taking care of yourself is essential to sustaining the work you do every day.
At AgriSompo, partnership means supporting our agents who bring risk management to farmers and ranchers. When we take that seriously, we strengthen individuals, relationships and the communities that make this work possible.
