An Upgraded Claims System Means Better Service for Agents and Producers

The software development team at AgriSompo is nearing a major milestone: a complete overhaul of the claim system within AgriNet. The transition to the updated claim system will begin in the 2026 reinsurance year.
Why Make a Change?
Our upgraded claims system is a fully modern, web-based platform. The new claim system is easier to update on the back end and seamlessly integrated with the rest of AgriNet.
These changes will enable our adjusters and claim auditors to employ an even more efficient, more intuitive workflow while processing your claims.
How Will Agents be Affected?
For the most part, there will be no direct change to the claim experience of our partner agents. However, these behind-the-scenes upgrades will ultimately result in better service and faster payments.
- Transparency: Claim statuses within AgriNet have been revamped to more clearly communicate a claim’s progress in our workflow. For example, in the past, a closed claim would have the status “Closed” no matter the reason for its closure. In the new system, a closed claim will have a more descriptive status such as “Paid” or “Withdrawn.”
- Speed: Our new claim system is designed to accelerate the claims process, with improved efficiencies and streamlined workflows. These enhancements are aimed at helping underwriters, adjusters and auditors process claims more quickly, getting payments to your clients even faster.
- Accuracy: At AgriSompo, we take pride in our exceptional record of claim accuracy. This upgraded system has even more safeguards in place to ensure we get it right the first time.
Our enhanced claim system comes on the heels of other recent initiatives including the major AgriNet update which introduced the Document Management and Work Queue features; a series of acreage reporting improvements over the past year; and our new AgriNet Connect mobile platform.
