AgriSompo employees attend Commodity Classic

Last week, farmers and ag workers from throughout the industry gathered in San Antonio, TX for the Commodity Classic, one of America’s largest agricultural conventions and tradeshows. Two members of the AgriSompo team attended the event: Tyler Aring, our AVP of Crop Technology, and Jared Hendrickson, a Business Development Representative for the Upper Midwest region.

The two met with several partners and technology providers to discuss the latest developments in precision agriculture and how various tools could be integrated with AgriNet, AgriSompo’s comprehensive policy processing system, to improve the agent experience. They also heard directly from USDA leadership to get a sense of how crop insurance will evolve over the coming years.

“What stood out the most was the clear industry‑wide shift toward data connectivity, system interoperability and streamlined producer experiences,” said Tyler. “Nearly every vendor conversation and USDA session pointed toward the same direction: simplifying how data flows between systems and reducing the burden on farmers.”

These discussions reinforced that the work AgriSompo is doing is directly aligned with both industry needs and federal direction. They also highlighted opportunities to expand strategic partnerships, remove friction points for producers and stay ahead of upcoming federal modernization.

“The one‑on‑one conversations with USDA leadership and various technology partners were particularly valuable,” Tyler said. “They helped show us where the industry is moving and where AgriSompo can lead.”
