By Scott Speaker, Chief Information Officer
Our team is dedicated to continuously improving AgriNet, our industry-leading software tool for policy processing, quoting and mapping. We have some big enhancements planned for 2026, and we’re excited to share a sneak peek of what’s coming.
Expanded editing access for agents
Did you find a reporting error after the data was verified? Did your producer change planting plans at the last moment? Soon, agents will have the ability to edit production and acreage information after it has been submitted, without needing to go through their underwriter to make the changes. (Once the keying period ends, agents will submit changes through their underwriter as normal.)
Agents will also have new editing access in other areas which were previously restricted, including the ability to:
-
Cancel policies and coverage without an underwriter’s assistance.
-
Key Beginning Farmer/Rancher or Veteran Farmer/Rancher status on a renewal policy.
-
Set the correct high-risk map area if it does not populate automatically.
-
Set a policy’s default unit structure to BU or OU (if it does not qualify for EU) without underwriter approval.
-
View premium calculations within the AgriNet system, without the need to print a Schedule of Insurance.
Expedited issuance of policy confirmation
The AgriNet system will automate the archiving of policy confirmation reports, allowing agents to access them earlier in the crop insurance season.
Mobile enhancements
A variety of improvements are coming for our mobile applications, including:
- Claims: Producers and agents have access to our AgriNet Connect app, which allows them to view open and closed claims, check the status of both Private Product and MPCI claims and retrieve any necessary documents without agent assistance.
- Data: Coming in early 2026 is the ability to sync a John Deere Ops Center cloud account to AgriNet for quicker data transfer into AgriNet. Future cloud connections are planned, including Climate FieldView, CNH/AFS and Precision Planting.
- Documents: Coming later this year, producers will have the ability to access their policy documents, including their policy books, via AgriNet Connect.
Easier claims signatures
Our enhanced workflow will create a fully integrated, seamless claim document creation and signature process for policyholders and adjusters. These improvements will allow adjusters and insureds to sign claim documents using the DocuSign system, replacing manual signature requirements and saving time.
Simple data transferring
We continue to offer a variety of methods to transfer policy data to AgriSompo, including the Policyholder Tracking System and M13 Data Imports.
Ongoing crop insurance updates
As always, our team is working quickly to implement new products and programs. The AgriNet system features automatic calculations that make these programs easy to understand and to utilize. Recent updates have implemented:
- The Margin Coverage Option (MCO)
- Crop and Livestock Income Protection (CLIP)
- The Expanding Access to Risk Protection (EARP) final rule
- Hybrid Wheat Seed
- Fire Insurance Protection - Smoke Index (FIP-SI)
