As you likely know, a shutdown of the United States federal government may occur at the end of this month if Congress fails to secure funding for fiscal year 2024, which begins on October 1, 2023.
In the event of a government shutdown, AgriSompo North America will continue to conduct business as usual. We will operate, adjust losses, issue indemnity checks, and pay agent commissions in accordance with our regular schedule. If a shutdown occurs, we will provide additional information once we have direction from the RMA.
Our Promise: Stability and Security
As one of the largest crop insurance providers in the nation, AgriSompo North America boasts the financial flexibility to continue functioning without government support.
Just last week, AM Best reaffirmed the long-standing A+ (superior) Financial Strength Rating of our parent company as well as all subsidiaries, through which our policies are issued. In times of crisis, it is this powerful foundation of resilience that allows AgriSompo North America to offer our agents a sense of security found nowhere else.
